All large scale product databases have moved to a new home: Large Scale Train Database (external link).

The most popular database is definitely the PIKO G scale database (external link), which has just been updated to include PIKO’s 2023 New Items as well.

You may or may not recognize this website name, anyway, it is rather empty (for now). This site is aimed at being a revival project for G Scale News, the site that was very popular many years ago. G Scale News brought the latest news in the G/Large Scale world, a database and downloads section for long term archival purposes, and general Large Scale information.

Priorities shifted, the commitment to G Scale News declined, and it was taken offline. This site aims at bringing back most of the content that was available at the time, and updating it where necessary. It is mainly the ‘backend’ of the website that will be completely overhauled, to get things like the database and downloads section updated better with less effort.

Large Scale Train News is therefore very much a work in progress in the coming months, but it should be here to stay.
